2300 - 2310 MHz High Performance Converter

Phase Locked to External 10 MHz Reference

Description:

The Model 5923-2304-144-YY-EXT is intended for receiving Amateur satellites operating in the 2300 to 2310 MHz 13CM band.  It is designed using a two stage pHEMT MMIC LNA, with each stage followed by a SAW filter, which provides over 45 dB of image rejection. It has a local oscillator at 2160 MHz which is phase locked to an external 10 MHz reference. The 10 MHz incorporates a 10 MHz crystal filter to help improve phase noise and reduce spurious which might on the 10 MHz reference. Also employed is a high dynamic range double balanced mixer followed by an IF filter.

The IF of 140 to 150 MHz is well suited for use with the FUNcube Dongle as the wideband software defined IF radio.
